Frequently asked questions

Is Cloud Cost Analyzer read-only?+

Yes. The CLI uses read-only AWS and Azure APIs. It never modifies resources, and no secrets, credentials, or application data are ever accessed.

Does my data leave my cloud account?+

No. Scans run in your own environment and your credentials never leave it. Enterprise adds a fully air-gapped mode that runs entirely offline, with no data leaving your network.

How is this different from AWS Cost Explorer?+

Cost Explorer reports what you spent and forecasts trends. Cloud Cost Analyzer finds the specific idle and orphaned resources to delete or right-size, with an exact fix and estimated savings for each. Most teams use both.

Is there a free tier?+

Yes. The Free plan is $0 forever and runs all 90 rules on up to 5,000 resources per scan, showing your total potential savings. Paid plans add per-finding detail (resource IDs and exact fixes), higher resource limits, and team features.

How long does it take to get results?+

Under five minutes. Install the CLI, run a scan, and get a prioritized report. There are no agents to deploy and no cross-account role to set up.

Which clouds are supported?+

AWS today with full rule coverage, plus Azure, and GCP is on the roadmap.
